Solo artwork is stored on your headset. Joining a crew exchanges painting and session data with a separately run local server and other painters. This website has no advertising or analytics trackers. You can request deletion by emailing nemartco@gmail.com, from any region, without a fee.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Chroma Wall MR is a mixed-reality painting application developed and managed by the Chroma Wall MR team / Dream Collection Agency, led by Kris Pilcher (“we”, “us”). This policy covers our Quest and PICO versions, our optional Chroma LAN server when operated by us, this website, and messages you send to our team.
Contact for support and privacy: nemartco@gmail.com. A venue or person independently operating a LAN server controls the records on that computer; contact that operator as well for those records.
2. Information the app processes and stores
Room and movement data
The headset supplies passthrough rendering, spatial wall geometry, wall/anchor references where available, and head/controller tracking so the app can position paint and tools in your room. Manual calibration uses points you choose on a wall. Spatial access is controlled by your headset’s permission settings. Chroma has no feature for recording raw passthrough camera footage or uploading that footage to our team.
Artwork and preferences
The app processes paint strokes, colours, cap and finish choices, undo history, and wall dimensions. Local saves contain artwork textures, wall sizes, timestamps, and identifiers for saved pieces. PNGs and thumbnails may be written when you save or export. Preferences include sound/music, dominant hand, interface settings, and saved can positioning.
Optional shared LAN sessions
Joining a crew uses STYLY NetSync to exchange device/session identifiers, network addresses and connection information, wall geometry and alignment, painting commands and stroke ownership, colour/cap choices, and spray-can position and rotation. Head and controller tracking is processed locally; the current Chroma presence message uses the can’s pose. The shared wire format also includes head/hand pose fields, which are not populated with tracked head/hand positions by the current can-only presence implementation.
The LAN server maintains ordered paint history, wall definitions, undo/stroke ownership, and current/previous artwork checkpoints on the operator’s computer. Live can poses are used for other painters’ presence; the Chroma artwork checkpoint does not store those live poses. Connection logs and platform diagnostics may contain identifiers and network information.
Support and diagnostics
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information or files you choose to send. App or server diagnostics you send may include errors, app/device versions, session identifiers, or connection details. We do not ask for passwords, payment details, or raw room recordings to process a deletion request.
3. How we use this information
- Position virtual paint on your chosen walls and track the tools you use.
- Render, save, restore, export, and undo artwork; remember your preferences.
- Connect a shared LAN session, align the wall between headsets, show other painters’ cans, and synchronize painting and reconnect history.
- Answer support/deletion requests, diagnose faults, protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Chroma does not require a separate Chroma account. We do not sell personal information, use your room or artwork for advertising, or use app data to train AI models. The app’s custom code does not integrate an advertising network or a third-party marketing analytics service.
Where a legal basis is required, processing needed to deliver features you request supports providing the service; support and proportionate security processing supports our legitimate interests; optional processing requiring consent is performed on that basis; and legal obligations apply where required. A headset permission is an additional technical control, not a blanket waiver of your privacy rights.
5. Where information stays and how long
On your headset: artwork and preferences remain in local app storage until removed, overwritten, or cleared. The current save system rotates older entries as new saves are created, ordinarily keeping the six latest manual saves and two autosaves, subject to an actively protected save. Exported files and copies you make are separate. Headset/OS backup services may retain copies according to your platform settings.
On a LAN server: the paint journal and current/previous checkpoints remain until the operator clears or removes them. Restarting the server does not automatically delete saved shared artwork. We do not impose a timed deletion schedule on independently operated servers.
Support correspondence: we keep messages while resolving the issue and for as long as needed for follow-up, security, or legal obligations. You may request earlier deletion; if retention is required by law, we explain the reason and retain only the necessary records. Website operational logs follow the host’s retention and security settings. We do not promise automatic deletion of copies outside our control.
6. How to delete data or request deletion
Anyone, in any region, can request deletion at no charge. Email nemartco@gmail.com with the subject “Chroma Wall MR data deletion”. Tell us whether your request concerns support messages, an app save, or a shared session, and provide only enough context to locate the relevant records—for example, the email you used to contact us or the approximate session date and operator. We may ask for proportionate verification to avoid deleting another person’s records. No Chroma account is required.
We will delete personal data our team controls unless a specific legal obligation requires retention. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any required retention, inability to locate records, or extension. We cannot remotely erase files stored only on your headset or on an independently operated server, but will give you the steps or help identify the responsible operator.
- Local app data: use your headset’s app-storage controls to clear Chroma’s data, or uninstall Chroma. This normally removes local app saves/settings. Review and separately delete exported PNGs, copies, and headset/cloud backups; uninstalling is not a guarantee those copies are removed.
- Shared session data: contact the server operator. The operator can stop the Chroma server and remove its session state, including both current and previous checkpoints and any backups/logs containing your information. Removing session state deletes the shared history for all painters; the current app has no automatic per-person erasure control for that journal. Contact us for help with a request concerning a server we operate.
- Support/website records held by us: email the request above. For Meta/PICO account, purchase, or platform-managed records, use the platform’s privacy controls or contact that platform.
7. Your controls and privacy rights
You can paint in Solo without joining a network session, map a wall manually instead of granting room-scan access, revoke spatial-data permissions in headset settings, and stop shared sessions. Revoking a permission may disable the related feature without deleting existing saves.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email the team to exercise applicable rights. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Children
Use Chroma only in accordance with the headset platform’s age/account requirements and the app’s published store age rating. We do not seek children’s personal information through support or this website. A parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion of information a child provided to our team.
Security and international processing
Use shared painting only with trusted participants and a network you trust. Protect exported work and the server computer. No system is perfectly secure. Hosting and email providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, under their applicable safeguards and terms.
8. Website, providers, and updates
This website uses no advertising pixels, marketing analytics scripts, sign-in, or contact-form database. Fonts, images, and the trailer are served from this site; playing the video does not load an external video platform. We do not set app-level tracking cookies or use browser storage to profile visitors. Our hosting provider may process IP addresses, request paths/times, browser/device headers, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.
Email links open your email application; a message is sent only if you choose to send it. Your email provider and our mailbox provider handle that correspondence. External store/platform links, when available, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes will be described here and, where appropriate, through the app or store listing. For questions about this policy, email nemartco@gmail.com.
